East, West and South skies here are mostly overcast today, but I did find a spot of blue looking across the street to the Northwest. We're in for some rain later this evening, I believe. It hasn't been cold enough, yet, for the leaves to show much change in color; here in central Arkansas they're still mostly green. I did spot a branch of dogwood in the back garden next door that had some beautiful color and got a photo, but no sky was showing, so that's a post for another time.
Nice to see a tree starting to change color with a lovely blue sky and wispy clouds for a backdrop. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sky Watch!
pretty colors i love fall leaves the sky never disappoints
ReplyDeleteAutumn, beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot.
I was in SW Missouri 1-1/2 weeks ago, and the trees looked about like yours do now. They were hoping for frost to add some color, but don't know if they got it yet. We got our first last night.
ReplyDeleteI like your little patch of blue.
Welcome back, Pat! I've missed you! Love the shot with the colors... We don't get much of that at all down my way.
ReplyDeleteLovely, just a blush of color on the trees. Looks very nice against the sky.

ReplyDeleteI like this picture and how you tell that you looked for a spot of blue. Over here our native trees are also still green or slighty coloring and our americans (such as the Northern red oak) already have lost all their leaves. Have a nice SWF and weekend !
ReplyDeleteHi Pat thanks for your visit. Your photo is lovely and shows real autumn weather! I got the idea of "This too will pass.." from Dina in Jerusalem. It's good to know that bad things will pass.
ReplyDeleteGreat sky watch post, the colors are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThe blue of the sky is so beauutiful :)

ReplyDeleteHere in the very temperate climate of the San Francisco Bay area, we don't get many of these fabulous fall colors "Louis" is finding around the blogosphere. Nice SWF post, Pat!
ReplyDeleteHey, Pat, welcome back to Skywatch! Looks like your seasonal change is a little behind ours.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful. I feel like I could touch those clouds.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty... Because we don't have many trees left, we don't get to see the pretty fall colors until we go out of town... my favorite time of year, btw!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Prairie Visions!
Oh my it's really very pretty. I am in Oklahoma so we don't get a real dramatic change at all.

Very nice being from Texas I really haven't seen the fall leaves very many times.
ReplyDeleteWatching the trees change colour at this time of year is a wonderful pastime. Seasons come and go as do pretty skies, always something to look forwad to in mother nature's ever changing display.

ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty shot. I enjoyed the story behind it. :)
