Today's Flowers - Post 108

Sedum
Posted by Picasa
We had a hard freeze last night, and there's not a flower to be seen anywhere in my yard. So, I searched my photo archives for a suitable offering for today. This was taken in September, in my daughter's garden. I can't discern any appreciable fragrance in these flowers, but the bees seem to love them.

  12. Thank you for identifying my flower with the hummingbird moth as verbena. I have that scent in shower gel and I love it. Those 2 large container pots were really popular and lasted a long time. I had fun sitting and watching the insects and when that strange moth came along, I couldn't believe. I too have sedum, but everything is long gone near Buffalo NY..

  19. Sedum is a favorite of mine..I have one called Chenile that can take a lot, but like you we had a hard freeze last night and even the pansies look like little cow flops...but by 10:30 they'll be sweetfaced as ever!
Lovely shot...do you happen to know the name of this particular sedum?

  24. Sedums are great, and their variety astonishes me. The low growing sorts are used extensively in the 'green roofs' that are becoming more and more popular over in my neck of the woods.

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my Villigen blog. I'm glad you liked my colors of the fall series.
