Camera Critters

Arthur

Gorgeous, isn't he? Arthur is my daughter's Maine Coon Cat. She adopted him from the Colorado Springs animal shelter when he was a small kitten. He's now 13 years old, almost 30 pounds, and a definite lover!

I've been AWOL from Camera Critters for a few weeks, but thought the first post of the new year was as good a time as any to jump back in. Happy New Year, everyone!

Camera Critters is the creation of Misty Dawn. Check out this week's other critters here.

  2. Aurthur is so handsome. I had a cat once, from a kitten, called Skit. He lived to be 16 and got rather large. At 15 1/2 he left home to live with a neighbour and never came back. I was obliged to visit him three houses down the road.

  12. Although not a cat person myself, your photo is terrific, rich in colour and texture, and your earlier one of a plate of tasty delights made me salivate!
Have you a poetry based blog, or do you not put any on public display? I'm interested in seeing poems by fellow bloggers...

  27. Well i am glad to hear that i don't have the only two cats that weigh 30lbs It takes a lot to feed a 30 lb cat too. Arthur does look a bit sad tho, did he not get what he wanted to eat? I love his look cats just seem to have the best poses sometimes.

  28. My Grandma took in a Main Coon. She thought she was pretty as a penny so she named her Penny. She took Penny to the vet to make sure all was well...only to find out that "she" was a "he" and needed to be fixed! She-He-It had a LOT of long fur...but, he retained the name Penny.
