A white daffodil/narcissus in my daughter's garden. She thought the variety was "Iceberg" but I couldn't find such online anywhere. I did find mention of an older variety called "Thalia" which description fit the appearance of this one. There are three flowers at the tip of each flower stalk, and they look like small orchids; very beautiful, with a slight fragrance. I love all the little violets in the background, too.

That is just too beautiful Pat. Makes me want to add some here. Love white flowers. Such a beautiful way to start Spring
ReplyDeleteNow I know where to put some of the flower pictures that are filling up my picture file. These are so crisp and lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love Daffodils and these are gorgeous. I'll have to look in the bulb catalogs! Where are the pictures of the stamp camp???? !!!!! Hope you enjoyed...
ReplyDeleteHugs--
Beautiful white Daffodils, Pat. Our white ones are named Mt. Hood (thinking about the snow on the top of Mt. Hood)... But--your daughter's variety may be larger Daff's than ours. I love hers.. GORGEOUS.

The bits of purple in the back enhance the beauty of the vivid white daffodils in the front.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delicate daffodil! I am used to the yellow ones - or white with yellow! Beautiful!

Pretty flowers. It looks like Thalia but there are so many cultivars these days it is hard to sure.
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely daffodils!! I really like the pure white ones! And the violets in the background contrast so well, and really make the whiteness pop!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful. I've never planted all white daffs. Maybe I should buy some bulbs this fall.

Just gorgeous, Pat! And as much as I love daffodils, I do believe violets are my favorite. Ours haven't even thought of blooming yet. And I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeletePat, These are really superb! I have never seen these daffodils and that's strange because I live in Bolland( Bulbland) as some people call Holland! Thanks for your visit!
ReplyDeletePat: That is a neat flower that your daughter has grown.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Your photos always are.
ReplyDeleteWOW ... that's a LOVELY blossom!
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
It seems that the spring flowers this year are more beautiful than ever. This is a wonderful picture of beautiful blossoms. I love the purple in the background makes the white stand out. It is suppose to be belowing freezing here tonight so I'm afraid it will do major damage to the beautiful but fragile blossoms.
ReplyDeleteI have discovered that some plant catalogs create their own names for plants.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful.. Smiles B
ReplyDeletewow those are beauties.
