Tuckered Out

Gabby Hays

This is a very brief post.  I've had a busy day and am "tuckered out."    (Information on the meaning and origin of "tuckered out" may be found by clicking on the link above, the place I got Gabby's photo.)

I started working this afternoon on a post about my visit to the Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center in Denton, NE, but it hasn't come together, yet.  I'm working on it, selecting from the multitude of photos I took during my visit.

    I haven't seen a photo of Gabby Hays in ages. I remember seeing him on Roy Roger's TV show.
    I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets 'tuckered out' every once in a while.

    I was a HUGE Roy Rogers fan so I do remember Gabby.

    Bless you for posting a picture of Gabby Hayes, the old guy who hung around with The King of the Cowboys (Roy Rogers) and The Queen of the West (Dale Evans) in the movies! I don't remember him on Roy's TV show, however. That show's goofy sidekick was Pat Brady, who drove a jeep named Nellybelle.

    Historical fact: Roy Rogers was really Leonard Sly from Ohio. Dale Evans, though she was from Dallas, was really named Francis Octavia Smith. Would I kid you about something like that?

    Gabby Hayes??? WOW----I haven't thought about him in years.. I always loved him, with Roy Rogers... Showig my age, aren't I????? ha
