Wow - that hydrangea reminds me of my Onondaga:

Love the soft blues of the hydrangea. When the small flowers start to bloom it just gets bigger and better! Even the bugs are a bonus.
ReplyDeleteHappy First Day of Spring!
Gorgeous!
ReplyDeletePlease come see my <a href="http://www.obstaclesandglories.com/2011/03/sign-of-spring.html>flower</a>, have a great week ahead.
Those bugs also seem to approve of your hydrangea. Such a lovely flower.
ReplyDeleteA delightful presentation of a gorgeous flower! I have never seen this variety of hydrangea before! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Pat! Are those fire ants visiting the Queen?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Monday!
Beautiful Hydrangea. The visitors look like some species of leatherwing beetle. If so, they're not hurting the flower or plant. They feed on pollen and nectar.
ReplyDeleteMarvin Thanks for the identification of the insects; I was wondering just what they might be.
ReplyDeleteHydrangea is one of my favorite flowers. They are so dainty.
ReplyDeleteThis one was sure being enjoyed. :)
Thanks for your recent visit.
Now then, tell me how this differs from Queen Anne's Lace? I had thought that hydrangeas were more bold......
ReplyDeleteI so love Queen Anne's Lace, which my Mum would call Stink Weed and then throw it and me out of the house!
It took me two years to get it to catch in the backyard of my townhome.
