Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

Just because the sun hasn't made an appearance today doesn't mean it hasn't been a glorious day; beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  As of this writing, we've had 2.5 inches of liquid sunshine since just after 8 a.m., and it's still raining. Yay!

After receiving only a drop or two (almost literally) of rain since the last week in May, this is a most welcome relief.

The temperature is currently 70 degrees F, very much unlike the almost 100 degrees F we sweltered under at this time yesterday.

Just about heavenly, it is.

Tomorrow is also a day.

Send the rain here, PLEASE!!!!!!! Back to feels like temps around 105. I'm so tired of the heat and summer just started! Egads! Back to watering everyday after our two little days of off and on rain last week (the first real rain since January). ...

Warm rain sounds heavenly... and does remind me of a rather funny occasion about 30 years ago when I thought that I was camping in a place that was completely empty of other human life, and had a nice cleansing wash in late evening thundery rain... only to find that I had been the source of some amusement! It turned out that a farmer had been moving livestock nearby late in the evening. Oh well! P.

God bless,

Just the opposite up here. Sun is shining and it's lovely. We had enough of the wet stuff during April and May to last the entire year, believe me :-)

What a difference the sun makes-especially on the decrepit like me.

Hi There, So glad to get home and back to blogging. We did have a fabulous trip--but home is pretty nice also!!!!!

Looks like our area got quite a bit of rain while we were gone. At least, things are really green and the weeds are HUGE.... ha

Thanks for your gorgeous card to George after his mother's death... That was sweet.
Hugs,
Betsy

Whatever weather Arkansas gets, we usually get it two days later. Thanks for being our Early Warning System....

We had rain the same day you did, as well as last night (July 3rd). Scattered showers are in our forecast today. There is a standing joke it always rain on July 4th ruining fireworks displays.

However, I abandoned attendance of these events because of the air emissions caused by their detonation. Bothers my asthma.

But this is our custom and I respect everyone's right to have them. After all it is what independence is all about.
