Today's Flowers - March 15

Pussy Willow

I've always thought of pussy willow buds as being a sort of luminous gray-white, but a macro lens reveals a lovely variety of colors. I am enchanted by the softs pinks and greens.

I don't think anyone around here has a pussywillow tree. Love those buds. =)

Hi Pat, Glad to hear the ice storm wasn't so bad in your area. Up on Mt. Nebo--it was horrible. (See my blog today!) They also lost a ton of trees and limbs in that last bad Ice Storm (in January). It hasn't been their year.

Even though the weather didn't cooperate all week, we did see alot of water in the waterfalls. Hope you had a good week.

Love the hands picture--and of course the Pussy Willow.
Hugs,
Betsy

A lovely shot. It just goes to show how differently we see things from differing perspectives.

I love pussy willows. As a child, I'd collect some and bring them home, and delight in them for as long as they lasted.

What an amazing shot, Pat! We had pussy-willows when I was a kid and I loved them! A wonderful sign of early spring. Don't have them anymore, though.

As am I. A very enlightening post, I always thought they were greyish too. I will never look at them in the same way.
