Pussy Willow
I've always thought of pussy willow buds as being a sort of luminous gray-white, but a macro lens reveals a lovely variety of colors. I am enchanted by the softs pinks and greens.

You have some fantastic Macro shots Pat, beautiful.I love the most rings and hands shot.
Thanks for your visit to Ruston Gardens and your comments, it continues later tomorrow.
Beautiful photo of pussy willows! I was going to post pussy willows later on today...but now I'm not so sure! ;-)
They have always been my favoite tactile plant. Can't resist touching them. Wormwood is a close second.
One of my very favorite flowers. Your photo is incredibly beautiful, Pat. Glad you shared it!
Oh i like this not only the beauty of it but because you called it a Pussy Willow, My hubby says he has never heard them called that before.
a sure sign of Spring when you see the pussy willow. Great shot,

Delicious. Lovely. Unexpected.
Mmmmm - they look very cuddly and soft!
Beautiful shot. You really captured the softness of it. I just want to reach out and stroke it. :-)
Now is the time for them, and yours show them very well.
Macro shots are one of my very favorite ways of viewing a flower. Yours are impressive.
How nice, they are not grey but nearly pink!
Awesome photo!

Incredibly beautiful, Pat. Then again your photos always are. Thanks for that soft, sigh-evoking image.
You did a great job capturing the softness of these pussy willows.

Don't you just love macro?
We don't have pussy willows in Florida, sorry to say.
I don't think anyone around here has a pussywillow tree. Love those buds. =)
Hi Pat, Glad to hear the ice storm wasn't so bad in your area. Up on Mt. Nebo--it was horrible. (See my blog today!) They also lost a ton of trees and limbs in that last bad Ice Storm (in January). It hasn't been their year.
Even though the weather didn't cooperate all week, we did see alot of water in the waterfalls. Hope you had a good week.
Love the hands picture--and of course the Pussy Willow.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh - how lovely! Spring is coming! I have seen them also where I liv. This is a beautiful shot showing that they are not only white!
A lovely shot. It just goes to show how differently we see things from differing perspectives.
This is outstanding shot! You took a great macro picture. The flower is so beautiful, never seen this before, thanks for sharing..

and what a face !
Close up it is a beautiful flower. Great picture.
Oh, what a beautiful photograph - I feel I could reach through the screen to touch it.
I love pussy willows. As a child, I'd collect some and bring them home, and delight in them for as long as they lasted.
Those colors are just luscious.
What an amazing shot, Pat! We had pussy-willows when I was a kid and I loved them! A wonderful sign of early spring. Don't have them anymore, though.
As am I. A very enlightening post, I always thought they were greyish too. I will never look at them in the same way.
AMAZING. I had no idea they had such beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing.
