Where Did Spring Go?

I spent the first part of this week working inside, in the church office on Monday, then keeping an eagle eye on my 4 year old granddaughter at her home on Tuesday and Wednesday while her mother was elsewhere. I had hoped to work in my trashy uh, beginning-to-be-overgrown, abandoned-looking must-soon-be-mowed-and-edged yard today and tomorrow, but...

...good grief! Where did Spring go? It's after 7 p.m. as I write this, and it's 86 degrees outside -- in the shade! When I engage in physical exertion, which working in the yard certainly entails, I tend to melt into a puddle, i.e., sweat like a horse! My northern European genes don't like the heat -- not one bit!

I can see right now that I'll have to be in the yard at first light tomorrow or I'm going to have to rent some goats!

"melt into a puddle..." he, he, he! You are funny! But the goat sounds like a good idea :-) I may look into that myself...

Today we went from about 43 at 7:00 to 31 at noon to 56 in the late afternoon. They are predicting 80 for tomorrow.

I'm so confused.

Wow, 86 already! 62 and sunny here. Ha. Ha. Ha.

Oh, I know. It's not nice to rub it in. I"m sorry. It's just that part of the reason we left Mississippi was to get out that horrid heat.

I saw some really cute dwarf goats at the livestock show. I thought it was too bad I didn't have grass ... they'd come in handy! Yeah ... hot is here ... ptui!

Renting goats sound slike a good idea to me! Of course, it will eat the stuff we want to keep first time around!

Oh, don't feel guilty about the yard, Pat....you've been busy helping others, nothing wrong with that!

Our temps soared to the mid-80's yesterday, too. That's just too much, too soon. Then last night the rains moved in....no severe storms here, thankfully.
