Mutant Cone FlowerWhile I was running around a couple of weeks ago snapping photos of flowers, I ran across this unusual growth. The flower head has other small, misshaped cone flowers growing from the top. It's growing in my gardening daughter's wildflower garden, so I'll be able to keep an eye on it to see what happens as it matures. I thought it was interesting.
