I'm back from convention, which, I am happy to report, skirted the edges of being a non-event. I don't mean that the issues on the agenda were not interesting, nor that it was an unnecessary event. However, there were no histrionics, unpleasant contentions, divisive issues or jostling for power that, unfortunately, has wracked Episcopal Church conventions in other places, and sometimes torn dioceses asunder. We gathered together, prayed together, shared meals together, and conducted the business of the Diocese in a civilized manner. Thanks be to God.
Now, I just need to get the kinks out of my posterior caused by sitting on a hard chair for extended periods.
More, later.

Glad you're back!! Always glad to hear church bodies getting along! Rest your blessed assurance and enthrall us with some of your wonderful stories!!
That's good to hear, Pat.. I hope our Dioceses has the same kind of convention. I worry about the Episcopal Church and its future. Thanks goodness, all of that negative stuff hasn't come to our area!
Glad you had a great weekend. Get some REST.
Hugs,
Betsy
Welcome back! It sounds like the convention was way too calm! Ha! (Or Yippeee!)
I have been a delegate in our churches constituency meeting. It is necessary, but not high on the list of things I want to do.
An Arkies Musings
You'll have to take (or is it bring?) a cushion with you next time ;-) Good luck with the healing process.
Congrats on a "non event". Welcome back.
I'm glad it was a nice experience, rather than volatile. Welcome back!
Glad you survived the long sitting. Glad to hear of peace in your church convention.
May you have a blessed Lenten season.
Blogging can have the same effect on the posteria, I've discovered...
I'm glad you had a peaceful Diocesan Convention. Unfortunately I've been to some which were anything but peaceful. I will admit, though, that the had chair sounds very familiar!
It sounds like an even to celebrate to me. As if maybe God was there in your midst.
Welcome back, Pat. Looking forward to "more, later" :)
Glad to hear things went well, which is how things should go in a church gathering, for goodness sake. Our synod has its share of quarreling going on, too.
You can't ask anything more out of a Church gathering.
Welcome back, so happy for you and the others that everything went smoothly.
