Today's Flowers - April 5

A white daffodil/narcissus in my daughter's garden. She thought the variety was "Iceberg" but I couldn't find such online anywhere. I did find mention of an older variety called "Thalia" which description fit the appearance of this one. There are three flowers at the tip of each flower stalk, and they look like small orchids; very beautiful, with a slight fragrance. I love all the little violets in the background, too.

Beautiful white Daffodils, Pat. Our white ones are named Mt. Hood (thinking about the snow on the top of Mt. Hood)... But--your daughter's variety may be larger Daff's than ours. I love hers.. GORGEOUS.
Hugs,
Betsy

The bits of purple in the back enhance the beauty of the vivid white daffodils in the front.

What a delicate daffodil! I am used to the yellow ones - or white with yellow! Beautiful!

Pretty flowers. It looks like Thalia but there are so many cultivars these days it is hard to sure.

They are lovely daffodils!! I really like the pure white ones! And the violets in the background contrast so well, and really make the whiteness pop!

That is so beautiful. I've never planted all white daffs. Maybe I should buy some bulbs this fall.

Just gorgeous, Pat! And as much as I love daffodils, I do believe violets are my favorite. Ours haven't even thought of blooming yet. And I can hardly wait!

Pat, These are really superb! I have never seen these daffodils and that's strange because I live in Bolland( Bulbland) as some people call Holland! Thanks for your visit!

It seems that the spring flowers this year are more beautiful than ever. This is a wonderful picture of beautiful blossoms. I love the purple in the background makes the white stand out. It is suppose to be belowing freezing here tonight so I'm afraid it will do major damage to the beautiful but fragile blossoms.

I have discovered that some plant catalogs create their own names for plants.
