I have a new Great Granddaughter

Isabella Marie Olvera, born this morning at 6:36 a.m.
Seven pounds, five ounces, 21 inches long.
Mother (eldest daughter of my gardening daughter)
and baby are doing well.

No photos yet, but one baby looks much like another
except for the fine details. I am told she has dark hair.
You get the picture.

Her (now) aunt, my 4 yr. old granddaughter Juliana, since she learned that her sister was expecting a baby, has declared that she, also, would be having a baby. So... while she was still sleeping this morning, unaware of the birth, I slipped a "newborn baby" doll and bottle into the bed beside her.

I'm a great grandmother. :)

Congratulations, that sounds like 21 inches of perfection. I loved the gift of the doll and bottle for Juliana. A really sweet idea, Great Grandmothers at their best!

Congratulations. I doubt we will ever have any great grandchildren. Our two oldest grandchildren 27 and 26 aren't even thinking of getting married, so the next one in line will be turning 17 in Aug. then we have a 9 year old and a 10 year old, it will be awhile for them to reproduce. I bet the little granddaughter was tickled when she woke up and found the new doll.
