By the Sea - South Padre Island

A few photographic glimpses of our recent trip to South Padre Island, Texas.  Granddaughter (and Grandma) really likes the water.  I know that seagulls are pests, for the most part, but I enjoyed watching them.

Tomorrow is also a day.

Ohh....I just love you so much....!

That Sweet Violet song brought back so many memories. I am now motivated to find and listen to it.

Have a happy Spring day!

This is a beautiful collage. Your granddaughter is obviously having a wonderful time. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the beach as much as we enjoyed ours.

Pat, what fun! I've only been to South Padre once and remember the sun burn!!!!! Seagulls are pests ... but they are sure to watch ... and watch them people watch!

I could almost smell the sea. Oh to be a child again with sand between my toes. So glad you had such a grand time.

I've been to South Padre twice, once in the spring of 1969 when I lost a pair of prescription sunglasses in the surf, and again around 1982 when Ma Bell sent me to Harlingen for a week. During that week I also walked across the bridge over the Rio Grande from Brownsville to Matamoros, bought a souvenir, and walked back across the bridge. So I can truthfully say, "I've been to Mexico."

It's odd, the things we remember.

Looks like a great time at the beach was had by all. My wife grew up on the north end of Padre Island.
