Holy cow! In a whole YEAR we only get 2 more inches than that. Amazing. (OK I'm FROM SW MO and am used to crazy rains, but even from there, 6" is extreme.)
Pat, that is one impressive rain gauge. I've been catching up on your posts. You had Gustav this week and I had the other one last week. That is a lot of rain. Did your area see any tornados? I hope not.
I just love that picture. Here our average is 11 inches....a year.And it never comes all at once. Ha. I haven't seen that much rain in a gauge at one time in a very long time.
